About

I'm a builder.

I've spent my career building things from the ground up — organizations, products, teams, communities, and one 100-year-old house down to the studs.

I co-founded Re:Vision, a nonprofit I helped grow from an idea into a nationally recognized organization with $3M+ in annual revenue, a team of 27, and the largest community-led urban agriculture program in the country. Over a decade we raised $15M+, established 2,000+ family gardens growing nearly a million pounds of food, and helped transform one of Denver's most underinvested neighborhoods — by aligning government agencies, funders, private-sector partners, and residents around a shared vision. Along the way I gave a TEDx talk about what happens when communities own their own economies.

I then founded THRIVE Partners, a consulting firm for projects stuck in exactly that kind of complexity. The developer behind The Uplands — one of Denver's largest urban in-fill projects, 2,350 homes across 250 acres — brought me in after a community boycott had stalled its entitlements for more than a decade. My work was the community: diffusing the mobilized opposition and redirecting that energy into negotiated benefits for the neighborhood. With the community at the table instead of at the podium, the project cleared its entitlement hurdle. I also helped the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe coalesce stakeholders around a long-stalled vision for a tribally-owned grocery store in Towaoc — uniting the vision, the plan, and the details that unlocked over $4M in first-phase grant funding.

In 2022 I crossed into technology as the first executive hire at Switch, a healthcare staffing marketplace. As Chief Revenue Officer I built the foundation the business runs on — the operational systems, market intelligence, customer-facing features, brand, and market positioning — then moved up to oversee the entire platform as Chief Product Officer, building the product, engineering, and design organization. We scaled weekly platform volume from 3,000 to 20,000+ hours, grew from 2,500 to 50,000+ credentialed professionals, and expanded from Texas to 7+ states — bootstrapped the whole way. No outside capital means the product has to speak for itself: everything I build has to generate the revenue that funds the next build and the next market.

AI at Switch isn't a feature I sponsor — it's a transformation I lead. I authored the company's AI roadmap: governance, training and professional development, pilot projects, internal tooling, and the AI products we're building into the app. And I led the engineering organization through becoming AI-native. I could do that because I retooled myself first — an AI Solutions Architect program, deep study in data science and data engineering, and daily hands-on work designing and building agentic development systems.

That work led somewhere: I'm now founding SolarisAI — AI configured to behave on your behalf, built around actually knowing the person it works for.

One more thing I've built everywhere: the brand. At every company in my portfolio I created the voice, the positioning, and the value differentiators, brought the brand to life, and built the website myself. The purest version of that is King David's Salsa Real — a salsa brand built from the ground up through conversations with my barber while he cut my hair.

The throughline, whether the material is a neighborhood, a marketplace, or a model: people discover their potential when someone builds the structure that lets them use it.
