ABOUT ME - I'M A BUILDER

I've spent my career building things from the ground up — organizations, products, teams, communities, and one 100-year-old house down to the studs.
I co-founded Re:Vision, a nonprofit I grew from an idea into a nationally recognized organization with $3M+ in annual revenue, 27 staff, and the largest community-led urban agriculture program in the country. Over a decade, we raised $15M+, established 2,000+ family gardens, and helped transform one of Denver's most underinvested neighborhoods — by aligning government agencies, funders, private-sector partners, and community members around a shared vision. I gave a TEDx talk about what happens when communities own their own economies.
I then founded THRIVE Partners, a consulting firm where I led the entitlement campaign for one of Denver's largest urban development projects — aligning city officials, engineers, developers, and community organizations to win approval for 2,350 homes after a decade of stalled progress. I also raised $4M+ for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe to build a tribally-owned grocery store.
Now I serve as Chief Product Officer at Switch, a healthcare staffing technology platform where I lead product and engineering. Before that, I was the company's Chief Revenue Officer. I've built both sides of the house — the product and the commercial engine — scaling the platform from 3,000 to 17,000 hours/week and from 2,500 to 50,000+ healthcare professionals across 5+ states. I manage our technology stack (AWS, PostgreSQL, CI/CD), introduced AI and machine learning into our workflows, and led the corporate rebrand — all bootstrapped, competing against VC-backed incumbents.
I'm investing heavily in where technology is going. Over the past year, I've completed an AI Solutions Architect program, earned certifications in data engineering, SQL, AI fundamentals, and GitHub foundations through DataCamp, and completed 40+ additional courses in AI/ML, data science, and LLMs.
But titles and credentials only tell part of the story.
I'm a chef, a brewer, a baker, a woodworker, a designer, and a strategist. I love architecture, engineering, and the creative tension where form meets function. I love reading, writing, and connecting ideas across disciplines — especially when it helps bring people together.
I grew up in Colorado, raised by mountains, rivers, and trails. I'm a father to two girls, a student of silence — I spent my 30th birthday on a 30-day silent meditation retreat — and someone who believes the best work comes from presence, curiosity, and rolling up your sleeves.
I write about building — products, organizations, communities, and lives — on Medium. I call it The Builder's Notebook.

WORK - WHAT I'VE BUILT

INTRO
I've spent 15+ years building organizations, products, and programs from the ground up — in the nonprofit sector, in consulting, and in technology. The throughline across every role is the same: aligning people around a shared vision, building the systems to execute, and delivering results in complex environments where no one has all the authority and everyone has an opinion.
SWITCH
Chief Product Officer & former Chief Revenue Officer
Healthcare Staffing Technology Platform | 2022 – Present
Switch is a marketplace platform that connects credentialed healthcare professionals with facilities across 5+ states. I was the first executive hire — brought on as Chief Revenue Officer to build the commercial engine, then promoted to Chief Product Officer to build the product and engineering organization.
As CRO, I built revenue operations end-to-end: go-to-market strategy, sales infrastructure, CRM automation, financial forecasting, and the pipeline that laid the foundation for 78% year-over-year growth to $20M+.
As CPO, I recruited the development team, established agile workflows, created the product roadmap, and introduced AI and machine learning into our matching, credentialing, and scheduling systems. I manage our technology stack — AWS, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, product analytics — and led the corporate rebrand from Direct Care Source to Switch.
We scaled from 3,000 to 17,000 hours/week and from 2,500 to 50,000+ healthcare professionals. All bootstrapped, competing against VC-backed companies, in one of the most heavily regulated industries in the country.
RE:VISION
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Nonprofit — Food Justice, Community Economics, Health Equity | 2009 – 2019
I co-founded Re:Vision and built it from an idea into a nationally recognized organization with $3M+ in annual revenue, $5M+ in assets, and a team of 27. Over a decade, we raised $15M+ and created the largest community-led urban agriculture and Promotora (community health worker) program in the country — 2,000+ family gardens producing nearly one million pounds of organic produce.
The work required aligning stakeholders who rarely sit at the same table: government agencies, elected officials, funders, private-sector partners, and community organizations — each with their own priorities, timelines, and politics. My job was to build a vision compelling enough that they all chose to move together, and then build the infrastructure to deliver.
This is also where I delivered a TEDxMileHigh keynote, testified before Congress, guest lectured at three universities, and gave 50+ public presentations at national conferences and industry events.
THRIVE PARTNERS
Founder & CEO
Strategy, Growth & Community Development Consulting | 2019 – 2022
I founded THRIVE Partners to help mission-driven organizations and developers navigate complex stakeholder environments and build for scale.
The signature engagement: leading the entitlement campaign for The Uplands, one of Denver's largest urban in-fill development projects — 250 acres, 2,350 housing units. The project had been stalled for nearly a decade. I aligned city council members, planning officials, civil engineers, housing developers, and community organizations — many of whom were actively opposed — to win zoning approval and unlock community investment programs that addressed the neighborhood's core needs.
I also raised $4M+ for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe to develop a tribally-owned grocery store, managing the project from feasibility study through business plan and capital campaign.
